School Bus, SEPTA Bus Collide In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say more than a dozen people were injured after a school bus and a SEPTA bus collided in North Philadelphia.

It happened around 6 a.m. Monday at Park and Olney Avenues near the Olney Transportation Center in the Fern Rock section of the city.

A SEPTA spokeswoman, citing witnesses, says the school bus ran a red light and struck a Route L bus.

Authorities say nine adults were taken from the accident scene to Einstein and Temple Hospitals and all are listed in stable condition. SEPTA says there were 13 passengers and one driver on the Route L bus, and three adults were on the school bus.

Several people were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
