School Bus Overturns On I-95 In NJ; No Students On Bus

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) -- A school bus overturned on its side in New Jersey Tuesday morning, but fortunately there were no students on board at the time of the crash.

The accident happened at about 6:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95 in Lawrence Township, Mercer County.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene shortly after the crash where it showed the school bus overturned on its side on the shoulder of the highway.

Investigators said there were no students on the bus when it crashed.

It was not immediately known if the driver was injured.

The accident is slowing traffic along I-95 northbound in the area.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
