School bus crashes into rowhomes in North Philadelphia

Three people were injured after a school bus crashed into rowhomes in North Philadelphia on Tuesday morning, police said.

Police said the crash happened shortly after 7 a.m. in the 2600 block of North 17th Street.

According to police, the school bus driver was making a right turn onto North 17th Street when one of the bus's right wheels hit a white trailer. The driver then lost control of the bus and struck a white Subaru, a red Nissan and three rowhomes, police said.

No students were aboard the bus, a spokesperson for the School District of Philadelphia said.

Police said a driver and two attendants were on the bus at the time of the crash. They were taken to a local hospital and were listed in stable condition.
