Driver Killed In Crash Involving School Bus In Gloucester County

MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) – A driver was killed in an accident involving a school bus in Gloucester County on Monday afternoon.

It happened around 4 p.m. near Tuckahoe and Glassboro Roads.

Police say the school bus was traveling north on County Route 555 when it tried to make a left turn onto State Highway 322 and struck a Honda Accord that was traveling west on State Highway 322 and attempting to make a left turn onto County Route 555.

Investigators say the bus hit the Honda's driver side. The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene.

The school bus driver was transported to Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township.

There were no children on the bus at the time of the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
