Rain and wintry mix chances Sunday after splendid Saturday weather around Philadelphia. Here's the forecast.
Saturday is your day to get outside. Temperatures in the mid-upper 50s with tons of sunshine will have a very nice spring feel to it, especially in the afternoon. You'll need your coat at first, but temps will quickly warm Saturday morning.
Watch for puddles, as plenty of snow is going to melt around the area.
Enjoy these temps before we see a shift Sunday and Monday.
NEXT big weather changes
Sunday begins with scattered rain showers and even a wintry mix north and west of the city. Otherwise, temperatures take a tumble back to the low 40's under cloudy skies.
Behind the front that delivers the rain mix on Sunday morning, Arctic air pushes back into the area.
Monday will be brutally cold with morning low in the teens and low 20's. Daytime highs will only reach the upper 20's to low 30's despite bright sunshine.
Every day this week except Monday, there is a chance of a brief wintry mix or rain showers, so carry the umbrella.
By Wednesday we bounce back to the 50s and Friday we chase the 60s for the first time since Dec. 19.
Our average first occurrence of 70 degrees is March 12 and we may be right on target, perhaps earlier. We'll keep you posted!
