By John McDevitt

WYNNEWOOD, Pa. (CBS) - Jolly Old Saint Nick was in Wynnewood, Montgomery County Saturday helping to raise money for homeless animals.

Area residents were bringing in their pets to pose for a photo with Santa Claus at the Petco along Lancaster Avenue in Lower Merion Township.

Members of Purrfect Paws Rescue were behind the camera helping out. It's president, Donna Interrante, brought some of the organizations foster cats to the store.

"We have one of our little ones here named Cupcake," she says, "and she is all dressed in her Sunday best. She has her Christmas dress on and she is looking for her forever home for the holidays."

"The proceeds that we get from donations are going to our rescue groups that represent our store like Purrfect Paws, as well as it goes to the Petco foundation to help outher rescue groups across the nation," adds Petco manager Sam Rowel.

Santa Claus will be back next Saturday at the Wynnewood Petco from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

You can get a picture of Santa and your pet for $9.95.
