Saint Joseph's Runs Past Fordham, 66-55

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Chris Wilson scored 23 points and Saint Joseph's used an early second-half run to hold off Fordham 66-55 in an Atlantic 10 Conference showdown Wednesday.

Both teams entered the contest in search of their first conference win and the win allowed the Hawks (7-8, 1-3 Atlantic 10) to snap a four-game losing streak, their longest since 2010-11.

After Mandell Thomas hit a jumper to open the second half to cut the Saint Joseph's lead to 25-23, the Hawks went on a 15-4 run to take a 12-point lead. Wilson sandwiched a 3-pointer and a jumper around an Aaron Brown layup to help fuel the streak.

Saint Joseph's leading scorer, DeAndre Bembry, had 13 points, 3.1 points off his per-game average, and Brown added 12.

Eric Paschall had 16 points to lead Fordham (5-10, 0-4), with Bryan Smith adding another 14. Thomas finished with 10 points.
