Saint Joe's Rolls Early, Beats Duquesne 84-75

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Langston Galloway scored a career-high 26 points, 24 in the first half as Saint Joseph built a 30-point lead and cruised to an 84-75 win over Duquesne in their Atlantic 10 home opener Wednesday night.

Saint Joseph's (11-5, 2-1 A-10) shot a blistering 71.4 percent (20 of 28) from the field in the first half and draining 12 of 18 3-point attempts. Galloway was 9 of 11 from the field and 6 of 7 from 3-point range.

Duquesne was scoreless for the first six minutes of the game. Galloway's sixth 3-pointer of the first half gave the Hawks their largest lead, 48-11, with 3:23 left.

The Dukes closed in the final minutes against Saint Joseph's reserves, closing with a 25-2 run.

Chris Wilson had 16 points for Saint Joseph's.

Jerry Jones and Derrick Colter each scored 14 points to lead Duquesne (8-7, 1-2).
