Saint Hubert's Cheer Team Are National Champs

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)--We have a winner in town!

The Saint Hubert's Cheer Team are national champs!

The Bambies were crowned champs this weekend at the National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando.

"They all worked so hard and overcame so many injuries and obstacles just to make the national finals again," said Theresa Keel, mother of Molly Keel, a senior on the Lansdale Catholic squad. "They were determined to give it everything they had and they absolutely nailed their routine.  We all cried tears of joy.  It's a moment we'll never forget. We're all so proud of the girls."

The group won the first place title in the Large Varsity Division II: a huge accomplishment!

Congratulations to Coach Lisa McNesby and her squad!

The National High School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC) is held at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida every year.
