Rumors: Eagles Front-Runners For Byron Maxwell

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Don't tease me.

We're still over two weeks away from the official start of the 2015 NFL season (March 10th), but the rumors are swirling. The Eagles, who clearly need to upgrade their secondary, are reportedly "front-runners" for Seattle Seahawks cornerback Byron Maxwell.

The report comes from Tony Pauline, an NFL Draft Analyst & Publisher of DraftInsider.net. Maxwell, according to Pauline, is hoping for approximately $10 million per year.

Maxwell, 27, is one of the top 2015 free-agents available. With the Seahawks, the 6'1", 207-pound corner has six interceptions over the last two seasons and would provide the Eagles with a reliable defender on the outside.
