Rubber Mask-wearing Robber Believed Responsible For Multiple Incidents In Delaware County

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) – Police in Delaware County are searching for a man wearing "a very distinctive rubber mask" who is believed to be responsible for a robbery and two attempted robberies.

On Thursday, Jan. 23 around 9:11 a.m., the suspect reportedly entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 888 Baltimore Pike in Springfield and displayed a note declaring a robbery.

The suspect was given cash and was able to flee the scene towards Thomson Avenue.

Police say the suspect is a light-skinned male with a thin build who is between 5'7" and 5'9" tall. He was wearing black sunglasses, a baggy gray hooded sweatshirt, baggy jeans, a black knit ski hat and black gloves. He was also carrying a black bag and was wearing a distinctive rubber mask covering his face.

Police also say this suspect appears to be the same man who attempted to rob the post offices in Yeadon and Darby on Wednesday, Jan. 22nd.
