Roxborough Man Facing Charges Of Animal Cruelty After SPCA Rescues 9 Dogs From Filthy Conditions

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Roxborough man is facing charges of animal cruelty after nearly a dozen dogs were found living in filthy conditions.

On Friday, Feb. 27th, PSPCA Humane Law Enforcement raided a rowhome in the 400 block of Ripka Street, where they allegedly found nine Chihuahuas living in unsanitary conditions.

Ian Spedding is now faced with nine counts of animal cruelty stemming from the investigation.

Spedding reportedly surrendered five of the dogs, which will be available at the PSPCA's North Philadelphia adoption center and its adoption locations in area Pets Plus Natural stores.
