Police: Man Hospitalized Following Roxborough Home Invasion

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A 75-year-old man has been hospitalized following a home invasion in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia on Wednesday morning.

Police say 21-year-old Mark McLaughlin, a former neighbor of the victim, entered the home on the 7300 block of Hill Road around 5:30 a.m.

McLaughlin tied up the man and assaulted him, according to investigators. He then took a purse and car keys while the man's sister was asleep. The 74-year-old woman was not harmed.

Police say the suspect fled in the victim's vehicle.

The male victim was transported to Temple Hospital where he was treated and admitted to ICU.

No arrests have been made.
