Truck Overturns, Catches Fire On Route 422 In Lower Pottsgrove

LOWER POTTSGROVE, Pa., (CBS) – Officials tell Eyewitness News one person has been taken to the hospital after a truck overturned and then caught fire on Route 422 in Lower Pottsgrove, Montgomery County.

The incident was reported around 3:45 p.m. Monday on Route 422 westbound near the Armand Hammer Boulevard overpass.

The truck reportedly hit a barrier and went down an embankment.

Officials tell Eyewitness News one person was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital. There is no word on the person's condition.

All westbound lanes were closed for more than an hour.  One lane reopened to traffic around 5 p.m.

Crews cleared the scene and all westbound lanes reopened around 9:30 p.m.
