PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --   We have an update on the condition of the Philadelphia Police officer ambushed and shot in the line of duty.

Police Commissioner Richard Ross visited our CBS 3 studios tonight.

He attended a meeting of the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists.

Commissioner Ross says Officer Jesse Hartnett continues to recover and explains why it will be a long road.

Suspect Edward Archer is charged with attempted murder.
