Romo: Prescott Has Earned Right To Be Cowboys QB

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- No questions allowed. Tony Romo had a statement to read on Tuesday evening.

"He's earned the right to be our quarterback," Romo said of Dak Prescott. "As hard as that is for me to say, he's earned that right. He's guided our team to an 8-1 record and that's hard to do."

The 23-year-old rookie QB has led the Cowboys to an impressive 8-1 record after Romo broke a bone in his back during the preseason. Romo, 36, will the backup to Prescott on Sunday when the Cowboys host the Baltimore Ravens.

"We all know something magical is happening to our team. I'm not going to allow this situation to negatively affect Dak or this football team by becoming a constant distraction," Romo said.
