Road Closed After Crash In Gloucester Township, NJ

GLOUCESTER Twp., NJ (CBS) -- Police say a driver is injured following an accident in Gloucester Township, Camden County.

It happened around 1:10 p.m. Thursday at College Drive between Erial Road and Blackwood Clementon Road in Blackwood.

According to Gloucester Township Police, a driver was injured when her vehicle struck a telephone pole. Police say the collision caused the pole to snap at the base and fell toward the road being held up by numerous wires.

Police, medics and fire crews were able to remove the driver from the area. She was taken to Cooper University Hospital for treatment.

College Drive has been closed for several hours and will remained closed while the pole is being replaced by Atlantic City Electric.

Police are investigating the accident.
