Rita's Springs Into Spring With Free Water Ice

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The first day of spring means many things.

But for water ice lovers, it marks an annual tradition -- free water ice from Rita's.

On Sunday, almost all Rita's locations will be offering free orders of the sweet treat, gratis.

Guests can also use the hashtag #RitasFirstDayofSpring and upload photos of their free

ice to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram after following or 'liking' Rita's on social media. Those using the hashtag before midnight Thursday will have the chance to win prizes and a years worth of free water ice.

Rita's has been offering the freebie for more than 20 years as a way to celebrate the start of spring.
