Rip Currents Still A Concern At Jersey Shore

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Beachgoers at the Jersey Shore are still being warned about potentially dangerous rip currents.

Swimmers were being urged Saturday to remain along beaches protected by life guards and to follow their instructions. And although conditions appeared to be calm, authorities said a "moderate risk" of rip currents up and down the coast would likely continue through the weekend.

Most Jersey Shore beaches were packed on Saturday, one day after most people stayed out of the water due to concerns about Hurricane Arthur.
