Retired Diocese Of Camden Bishop Joseph Galante Dies At 80

CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) – Retired Catholic Bishop Joseph Galante died Saturday after a long illness. Galante was Diocese of Camden's Bishop Emeritus from 2004 until 2013.

"I ask that you pray for his eternal rest in peace," Rev. Dennis J. Sullivan, who succeeded Galante in Camden, said in a Facebook post.

Funeral plans have not yet been announced.

Galante was 80 years old.
