Researchers Find Bed Bugs Like Certain Colors

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A new study finds that bed bugs like certain colors more than others.

The study, published in the Journal of Medical Entomology, says the bugs like the colors dark red and black and don't like dazzling white and bright yellow.

The bugs were put in Petri dishes containing little tints made of different color paper.

They gravitated toward the darker tints instead of the light ones.

The researchers added that sunny colored suitcases, or those with hard exteriors, could help prevent the bugs from hitching a ride home with you.
