Rescuers Work To Save Man Trapped Working In Tree In New Jersey
HADDONFIELD, N.J., (CBS) -- Rescue workers saved a 52-year-old private contractor who was working in a bucket truck in Haddonfield, NJ on Tuesday and became trapped. The man was working to remove a limb from a tree when the limb fell and trapped the man in the bucket.
The incident occurred around 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred on Loucroft Road in Haddonfield. Authorities say the man was struck by the tree limb while he was working.
His screams alerted community members and sparked the rescue efforts. Rescue teams from across Camden County responded in a coordinated effort.
"I don't know if lucky's the word, but he's fortunate to still be with us," said Grey Ley, the Haddonfield Superintendent of Public Works. "He had a severe injury to his left leg," Ley added.

The contractor is recovering from the ordeal. Cooper University Hospital officials say the man is in critical, but stable condition.
