Report: Sixers To Acquire Nik Stauskas, Future First Rounder In Salary Dump From Kings

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- According to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Sixers have agreed to a deal with the Sacramento Kings to acquire Nik Stauskas, Jason Thompson, Carl Landy, a future top-10 protected first round pick (2018 earliest) and the right to swap first round picks with Kings in 2016 and 2017 for Arturas Gudaitis (pick No. 47), Luka Mitrovic (pick No. 60), and a future second round pick.

For the Sixers, the second-year pure shooting wing-guard from Michigan (selected 8th overall in 2014 draft) is expected to make an immediate impact for an offense that needs more shooting. Stauskas averaged 4.4 points per game playing sparingly during his rookie season. He shot 36.5% from beyond the arc.

The Sixers reportedly acquired Thompson, 28, and Landry, 31, in efforts to allow the Kings to dump salary, as Sacramento hopes to sign big named free agents like Monta Ellis, Wes Matthews, and/or Rajon Rondo.
