Report: Sixers Looking To Package Evan Turner And Spencer Hawes In Trade

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Sixers figure to have three trade chips to play before February's deadline; Spencer Hawes, Evan Turner, and Thaddeus Young. They could be looking to play two of those chips at once.

A report from Jake Pavorsky at Liberty Ballers suggests that the Sixers are trying to package guard/forward Evan Turner and center Spencer Hawes in one deal, and are saving Young to trade at a later date.

"[E]xpect the Sixers to move forward and eventually execute a trade packaging the two, and one team likely to show interest in the coming weeks is Oklahoma City," the report says. "[Oklahoma City] expressed interest in Turner earlier this season, and Hawes would be an upgrade over Kendrick Perkins. They also have two first round picks to play with this year, and a prospect type in Perry Jones III to help sweeten the pot."

Though the Sixers will be exploring Turner/Hawes possibilities sooner, the report says that Young is still likely to be traded.
