Report: Phillies Are Looking To Move Papelbon To Boston

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- According to a report out of the Boston Globe, the Phillies are currently looking to convince the Boston Red Sox to accept Jonathan Papelbon back into the fold. The Phillies are making it known that they are in rebuilding mode and Papelbon has been one of the team's best players in 2015.

As of Monday, Papelbon has made seven appearances for the Phillies which includes 4-4 in save opportunities. Papelbon has also posted a 1.23 ERA and has only allowed one earned run.

Papelbon made comments earlier this season that he did not quite feel like a Phillie despite his years with the organization and he explained that the Red Sox would always be a major part of who he is.

A return to Boston would more than likely be welcomed by Papelbon.
