Report: Pennsylvanians Still Tipping The Scales

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Bad news, Pennsylvanians. We're still fat.

In the latest Gallup poll on obesity, Pennsylvania ranked the 18th fattest state. Just over 28% of the state's population is classified as obese.

And the news is even worse for Delaware, which came in third. Thirty-four—point-three-percent of the tiny state's population is obese.

New Jersey, which ranked 36th, fared the best in our area.

As for the fattest state? That dubious honor would go to Mississippi, where 35.4% of residents are obese.

According to Gallup, the report comes from a phone survey of over 175,000 residents across the nation conducted throughout 2013.
