Report On Probe Of PA Porn Remains In Limbo

HARRISBURG, PA (CBS) -- It remains unclear when a probe of offensive emails exchanged by Pennsylvania government employees and officials will be made public.

Chief among the unfinished business of Kathleen Kane, who resigned as attorney general Wednesday, is the investigation she commissioned on pornographic and offensive emails. On Tuesday, one day before becoming acting Attorney General, Bruce Castor told reporters the results are still not ready for release. Back in May Castor, then Kane's second in command, scrubbed a planned release of a report on the results.

"I still haven't gotten a version that I can understand," he said. "The last one I got… I drove to Scranton, and I plugged into my computer to show to the Attorney General… and my computer got a virus."

Castor said on Tuesday if an understandable report can be produced, he wants it to be released. But his tenure as acting Attorney General may be brief as Governor Wolf has already nominated someone else to take over the office.
