Jordan Hicks To Miss Remainder Of Season

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A devastating blow for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Suddenly, rookie linebacker Jordan Hicks had become one of the Eagles' most valuable players. And just like that, his season is over.

Hicks, who was ranked as a top-five linebacker in all of football a few weeks ago, left Sunday's game with a pectoral injury. First reported by Jay Glazer, the Eagles have confirmed that Hicks will be placed on injured reserve with a left pectoral tendon tear, ending his rookie season.

Before leaving Sunday's game, Hicks' pick-six gave the Eagles a 21-14 lead. The Eagles would go on to beat the Cowboys in overtime 33-27 and improve to 4-4.

Hicks has 50 tackles, three fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, one sack, two interceptions, and a touchdown in eight games.

Also on Monday, the Eagles resigned linebacker Emmanuel Acho.
