Report: Eagles To Release Todd Herremans

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- According to Adam Caplan, the Eagles will release guard Todd Herremans on Thursday.

Herremans, 32, was a fourth round selection by the Eagles in 2005. In 10 seasons in Philadelphia, Herremans played in 127 games, starting in 124. Last year, he started the first eight games of the season before being placed on injured reserve with a biceps injury.

Herremans was set to make $4 million in each of the next two seasons, according to Spotrac.com. The Eagles will save about $2.8 million on their cap in 2015 and another $5 million in 2016, by cutting Herremans.
