Report: Eagles To Hire Doug Pederson As Head Coach

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- According to several reports, the Philadelphia Eagles will soon name Chiefs' offensive coordinator Doug Pederson as the team's new head coach.

Pederson has served under Chiefs head coach, and former Eagles head coach, Andy Reid for the past three seasons.

Prior to working with the Chiefs, Pederson was a member of the Eagles coaching staff under Reid since 2009. He served as an Eagles quality control coach until 2010 and served as the Quarterbacks Coach until 2012.

Kansas City finished 9th in the league in 2015 in points per game during the regular season (25.3).

The reported move comes on the day former Eagles coach Chip Kelly is named head coach of the 49ers.
