Report: Eagles Release Evan Mathis
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- "Thanks for the memories Philly."
That, came from now guard Evan Mathis via Twitter on Thursday afternoon, after NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Mathis has been released by the Eagles.

Mathis, 33, signed a five-year, $25.5 million extension in 2012 with the Eagles. The two-time Pro Bowl guard is slated to earn a base salary of $5.5 million and $6 million, respectively, over the next two seasons in Philadelphia.
The Eagles reportedly pulled an 2014 offer to Mathis off-the-table.
