Report: Eagles Likely To Pursue DeSean Jackson In Free Agency

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Is DeSean Jackson coming back to Philadelphia?

The Eagles are likely to pursue a reunion with the Washington Redskins wide receiver during the offseason, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jackson will be an unrestricted free agent after the season. With a current group of wideouts that continues to under perform, Jackson's speed and ability to beat defenders deep are something the Eagles could desperately use.

And, according to ESPN's sources, Jackson and Eagles coach Doug Pederson are big admirers of each other.

Jackson spent his first six seasons in Philadelphia, reaching three Pro Bowls and posting 356 receptions for 6,117 yards and 32 touchdowns, but he was released by Chip Kelly following the 2013 season.

Jackson later signed with Washington prior to the 2014 season.

No matter where Jackson lands next season, the former Eagles star will be back in Philadelphia soon. The Eagles host the Redskins at Lincoln Financial Field next Sunday.

Jackson caught four passes for 55 yards in the teams' first matchup this season, a 27-20 Redskins victory.
