PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After Sam Bradford's 10-10, three touchdown preseason performance in Green Bay, the Eagles and Bradford are no longer discussing a short-term contract extension, according to ESPN's Ed Werder.

Werder reports it has "become too expensive for the Eagles to negotiate" an extension with Bradford after his dominate preseason.
Bradford, 27, finished the preseason 13-15 (86.7%), with 156 yards (10.4 yards per attempt), 3 TD, 0 INT, and a 149.6 passer rating. Completely healthy and in Chip Kelly's system, Bradford's confidence is likely growing.
Werder previously reported were having talks about a short-term extension back on August 4th.
Bradford, Kelly, and the Eagles open the 2015 season on Monday night in Atlanta against the Falcons.
