Curry was set to become a free agent this off-season, but the deal ensures that Curry will remain an important part of the Eagles defensive line for years to come.
According to NFL reporter Albert Breer, the deal is worth $47.25 million, with $23 million guaranteed.

With the new deal done, Curry shared the following on his instagram account.
Curry, 27, has been seen as a bad fit for the 3-4 scheme that the Eagles ran under Chip Kelly. He had opportunities to shine in limited spots in the defense, but is widely regarded as a better fit for a 4-3 scheme.
Several of Curry's teammates took to social media to react to the move.
Much desired and much deserved!!! @MrGetFlee99 @Eagles #FlyEaglesFly https://t.co/fJp5ndUNQI

New Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz will be tasked with getting more out of Curry, especially considering the amount of reported money that Curry will receive. The deal shows that the Eagles believe in Curry's ability to be an impact force in a new defense, despite only seeing him play the past three seasons in a scheme that didn't fit his strengths.
