Report: Donald Trump Targets Sylvester Stallone For Arts Role

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- According to a report, Rocky could be heading to Washington.

Daily Mail is reporting that Sylvester Stallone is Donald Trump's pick for a top arts role, likely Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts.

Congress would have to confirm the selection for the Rocky and Rambo star.

Trump Selects Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry To Be Secretary Of Energy

The National Endowment for the Arts was created in 1965 by Congress. Its role is to support the ability for Americans to take part in artistic pursuits, creating partnerships with local groups, federal agencies and donors.

The NEA also supports arts education and strives for equal access to art for all people. The current chairman is Jane Chu who was nominated to the position by President Barack Obama in 2014.
