Report: Anquan Boldin Signs With Lions, Eagles Had 'Real Interest'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It appears the Philadelphia Eagles were interested in veteran wide receiver Anquan Boldin.

Boldin, who reportedly signed with the Detroit Lions on Tuesday, received "real interest" from the Eagles and New Orleans Saints, as well.

On Tuesday morning, new Eagles head coach Doug Pederson talked about his offensive weapons.

"We're gonna be aggressive, both in the run and the pass, and I like where we're at. I like the guys we have on the roster and we're gonna utilize their strengths to get the most out of them on game day."

Boldin, 35, caught 69 balls for 789 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games with the San Francisco 49ers last season. A second-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2003, Boldin joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2010 where he won Super Bowl XLVII. In 2013, he signed with the 49ers.

Boldin, a three-time Pro Bowler, has 1,009 career catches, 13,195 receiving yards, and 74 receiving touchdowns.
