Red Cross Responds To Pottstown Fire; Organization On Standby In Case Of Emergency

POTTSTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – The Red Cross says it's responded to one fire since the snowstorm began around 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

The organization assisted a family of four after a house fire in the 100 block of Sheridan in Pottstown.

The Red Cross also says it's on standby to provide shelter and emergency assistance on a larger scale if requested.

Red Cross volunteers are being supplied with cots at headquarters located at 23rd and Chestnut Streets in an effort to reduce travel risks and response times in the event of any disaster.
