Guests Slurp +Sip At Reading Terminal Market OysterFest
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Reading Terminal Market hosted its 3rd Annual OysterFest Friday night.
Boasting a half a dozen pairings of fresh oysters and local craft brews selected by experts from Molly Malloy's and Pearl's Oyster Bar, guests made the rounds slurping up as many molluscs as they could handle.
"We've got six pairings around the market, and folks are able enjoy as much oysters and beer as they like," says Reading Terminal Market's General Manager Anuj Gupta.
He says the two hour event also helps support a great cause:
"All of the proceeds from the event tonight go towards nutrition programming we're providing for children in Strawberry Mansion."
Gupta says Oyster Fest is another way that Reading Terminal Market tries to stay an active social hub for Philadelphians.
