Re-Drafting The Top-10 Fantasy Football Picks
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Most likely, your first overall pick is frustrating you.
LeSean McCoy, Adrian Peterson, Eddie Lacy, and so on and so forth with underachieving preseason top-10 players. Now, four weeks into the NFL season, most players' values are what they are. In aid of helping determine possible trade targets and reassessing value, let's see what the top-10 picks would look like in a standard fantasy football league if we drafted today.
10. Antonio Brown
Wide receiver is by far the deepest position in fantasy football this season. Steve Smith, Jeremy Maclin, and Kelvin Benjamin are all in the top-7 in standard scoring leagues, ahead of Calvin Johnson and Dez Bryant. Therefore, the correct strategy was to wait on WR. Having said that, one guy sits above the rest and is consistently dominating and that's Antonio Brown.
9. Aaron Rodgers
While Andrew Luck has been sensational, I would still rank him behind Rodgers and Peyton Manning going forward. Luck's opponents so far: at Den, vs. PHI, at Jax, vs. TEN. He's been excellent and very well may be the No. 1 overall QB this season, I ultimately believe Rodgers and Manning still overtake him.
Rodgers, who threw for 300 yards and four TD's last week, has one of the league's friendliest pass schedules going forward.
8. Peyton Manning
Manning, on one hand, has a very tough pass schedule but has also already had his bye week. Look, Manning is Manning and while there are a ton of average quarterbacks available on waiver wires, an elite quarterback is a rare commodity.
7. Giovani Bernard
The Bengals are a good team that scores a lot of points and Bernard is their lead back. Yes, Jeremy Hill is being worked in, but I'm not worried about Hill. Bernard has proven he can score from anywhere on the field and he's a huge impact in the passing game.
6. Matt Forte
After struggling in the first three games of the season, Forte tallied 122 rushing yards in week 4. He has over 40 yards receiving in three of his first four games. Forte is a stud, I'm not worried about a few early bad games.
5. Jamaal Charles
Similar to Forte, Charles struggled early and bounced back in week 4. Charles also is battling injury concerns, but he's worth the gamble. The Chiefs will use Knile Davis to keep Charles fresh, which will ultimately help Charles. He's too talented not to draft in the top-5 and is too important to the Chiefs' offense.
4. Jimmy Graham
Tight end is a mess this year. If you didn't draft Jimmy Graham or Julius Thomas, you're tight end is probably under performing. If you're re-drafting today, you want to make sure you snag the top tight end if you get a chance. It gives you a huge advantage at the position.
3. Le'Veon Bell
Bell kind of flew under the radar in the preseason and he's breaking out. He runs hard, he's involved in the passing game, he's young, he's talented, and he gets the bulk of the workload in Pittsburgh. He's a stud.
2. Marshawn Lynch
For whatever reasons, people shied away from Lynch preseason. Yeah, we were wrong.
1. DeMarco Murray
Dallas has completely flipped their philosophy and is all of the sudden among the NFL leaders in rushing attempts this season. Murray is destroying defenses as a result. In four games he has 534 rushing yards, 68 receiving yards, and five touchdowns. He looks like Eric Dickerson out there.
