Ramp Closed, At Least 1 Seriously Injured After Vehicle Crash In Newark, Del.

NEWARK, Del. (CBS) – At least one person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Delaware on Tuesday.

The accident happened at around 3:25 p.m. on SR-1 northbound just south of the Christiana Mall in Newark.

Two cars were involved and at least one person has been taken to Christiana Hospital with injuries described as "very serious."

Police say the ramp from SR-1 North to I-95 North is currently closed and commuters should find alternate routes.

It's not yet clear if there are any additional injuries.

An investigation is underway.
