Rain & Snow Wednesday

By Justin Drabick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - As of Sunday night, it looks like a rain changing to snow event for the region on Wednesday and Wednesday night.

Rain should begin to develop from south to north mid to late morning on Wednesday and change over to snow later in the day, especially after sunset, and then end late evening on Wednesday.  It is possible the Lehigh Valley & Poconos could stay mostly snow through the event.

It's still too early to talk amounts, but the best chance for snow and accumulation would be North & West of I-95.  At this point, a couple of inches are possible around the city with more than 4" amounts in northwest suburbs, LV & Poconos.  South, NJ and central Delaware will mostly be rain.

Temperatures should be in the upper 30s to around 40 through the day.  Any shift in track or change in timing would change amounts and precipitation type.
