$10,000 Reward Offered Leading To Arrest Of Driver Behind Deadly Hit-And-Run

RADNOR, Pa. (CBS) -- A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a driver wanted in a deadly hit-and-run in Radnor.

On a rainy night this past Tuesday, shortly after 8 o'clock, Radnor police say the driver of a white GMC Yukon hit a 69-year-old man in the 500 block of Lancaster Avenue. Witnesses say the SUV stopped briefly and then sped away.

Margaret Swisher has lived in Radnor Township for decades and travels Lancaster Avenue often.  She can't understand how Someone could hit a pedestrian crossing the street and just keep going.

"Don't know how they can live with their conscience--very sad," she said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the vehicle suffered significant damage to the front driver's side of the vehicle.

Police captured a collection of images of the truck, from the crash scene out to Paoli where it was last seen.

"We would encourage the person responsible for this to turn themselves in," said District Attorney Katayoun Copeland of Delaware County.
