Behind The Scenes At The Shopping Empire, QVC

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- Eyewitness News was right in the middle of a 24/7 global shopping network. One that ships more than 150 million products each year and reaches more than 360 million households. This is QVC!

It is a merchandise selling mecca whose name stands for quality, value and convenience. And, it's conveniently located in our backyard in West Chester.

Our guide for the visit was QVC host Rick Domeier who took us on an exclusive tour.

There are 58,000 square feet of studio and in that space are 20 incredibly glamorous sets that change for the seasons and the product category. The building is bustling with staff on set and behind the scenes. At the heart of it all is the control room, filled with 60 monitors and tons of buttons.

Our next step on the tour was a huge wow. "This is not only our newest set," said Domeier. "This is our newest channel. Welcome to Beauty IQ."
