Purple Heart Parking Spaces Unveiled For Wounded Veterans In South Jersey

BLACKWOOD, NJ (CBS) -- Some new parking spaces are unveiled in South Jersey with wounded veterans in mind.

The unveiling took place at the Camden County College campus in Blackwood.

On Tuesday, the first of eight "Purple Heart" spaces for wounded veterans were dedicated.

"This is symbiotic to the mission of our institution, we take great pride in being designated as a veteran friendly school," said Don Borden, the President of Camden County College. "We want to do everything possible to make our vets feel comfortable here."

In addition to the colleges, Purple Heart spaces are in place at numerous library branches and county buildings.
