Public Utility Commission To Hold Hearings On Ice Storm Power Outage Response

By Tony Romeo

HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) - The Public Utility Commission has scheduled a pair of hearings later this month in the suburbs to discuss the response to massive power outages caused by the ice storm last month.

PUC spokeswoman Jennifer Kocher says members of the public are encouraged to attend the hearings and share their stories.

"Specifically, what we're looking for is how well did your electric utility communicate with you during the storm?" she said. "Whether it's through the utility website, phone calls, texts, radio/television, those types of means. Or did the utility provide you with timely and accurate information on the time of restoration?"

The hearings will be held Monday, March 24th and Wednesday, March 26th at the Tredyffrin Township Building. No pre-registration is required.
