Protesters Stage 'Die-In' At KOP Mall

By Matt Rivers

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (CBS) - Dozens took over the area's largest mall Saturday to voice their outrage on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year.

They staged a "die-in" at the King of Prussia Mall calling for social justice and an end to police brutality in the wake of grand jury decisions in Ferguson, Missouri and New York City.

Crowds and Christmas music were drowned out by protesters at the mall. The first die in lasted four-and-a-half minutes, the second lasted ten minutes and the final one 15 minutes. Protesters marched between each one.

Some shoppers approved and others did not approve the protest, which was a peaceful one.

Other protests took place Saturday, both locally and around the country.
