Protesters March For Gun Control In Delaware County

DELAWARE COUNTY (CBS) -- In response to the Orlando Night club massacre, protesters in Springfield, Delaware County gathered to demand Pennsylvania lawmakers put regulations on guns.

Nearly 200 people attended an assault weapons protest in Springfield. Terry Rumsey, co-chair of Delaware County United for Sensible Gun Policy said it was a call to action in which protesters marched to Congressman Patrick Meehan's office.

"To call on Representative Meehan to support a ban on military style assault weapons and high capacity magazines," Rumsey said.

Movita Johnson-Harrell was among the protesters.

"I am a licensed carrier, but I am an anti-gun advocate," Johnson-Harrell said.

Her son was killed by gun violence in 2011 in Philadelphia in a case of mistaken identity.

"No parent should have to get that phone call that my child was murdered!"

Rumsey said when it comes to gun reform, change is coming.

"There is a grassroots movement that has been built since the Sandy Hook tragedy and this time, people have had enough!"
