Protesters Against The Keystone XL Pipeline Greet President Obama As He Arrives In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Protesters fighting against the Keystone XL pipeline greeted President Barack Obama's motorcade as it came into Philadelphia Thursday night as the President met with House Democrats.
Dozens of activists representing several organizations came together to urge President Obama to reject the Keystone XL pipeline and to take a meaningful approach to climate control.

"We support the President and we want the President to stand behind the environment and fight for priorities of the cities and the people that are really hurting," said a protester.
Many of the protesters say they're upset that the Senate passed a bill giving a green light for the pipeline.
"Elected officials get a lot of money from the oil companies to support the carbon industry. They get millions of dollars in campaign financing," said a protester.

"We are the people and I'll be darned if somebody with a big fat wallet is going to take my voice away," said another protester.
The President is expected to veto the pipeline bill and make his own decision on the pipeline after a State Department review of the project.
