Price Carries La Salle Past Towson 67-53

TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Jordan Price poured in a career-high 31 points and La Salle pushed past Towson for a 67-53 victory on Saturday night.

Price was 8 of 16 from the field, hit three 3-pointers and went 12 of 14 on free throws. Jerrell Wright chipped in 10 points, Amar Stukes had seven and Steve Zack grabbed 14 rebounds for the Explorers (6-5).

La Salle closed the first half on a 19-5 run capped by a 3-pointer, layup and jumper from Price to make it 32-15 at halftime. Towson (7-4) climbed back within eight after four free throws from Eddie Keith II in the second half, but La Salle countered with a 15-4 surge to lead 55-36 with 6:19 remaining.

Four McGlynn led the Tigers with 14 points. Towson was done in by a cold first-half finish, making just 2 of its last 17 attempts after opening 4 of 7.
