Pregnant Woman Punched, Robbed By Suspect In Queen Village

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say they are searching for the suspect who punched a pregnant woman then robbed her in Queen Village.

On Dec. 22, 2014 around 9:15 p.m., the victim, a 41-year-old female, was walking on the 100 block of Manton Street when she saw a gray SUV, possible a 2004-2009 Dodge Durango, pull up and stop in the middle of the street.

The woman continued walking and an unknown male got out of the car and punched her in the right side of the head from behind, causing her to fall to the ground.

The suspect then stole her pocketbook and a bag of food and got back in the car, which was last seen heading south on Front Street towards Reed Street.

The woman was taken to Pennsylvania Hospital, where she was treated for swelling and bruising to her face and was listed in stable condition.

The suspect is said to be a black male with a medium complexion who was wearing a dark-colored jacket, gray sweatpants and Nike sneakers.

The car is described as a gray SUV, possibly a 2004-2009 Dodge Durango, with damage or dulled paint on the passenger side.
